Crosspoint Language Group, LLC is a Texas-based Thai and Lao language services provider specializing in legal and medical interpreting. This one-year reflection shares key milestones, lessons learned, and a values-driven approach to building a specialized language practice.

One year ago, Crosspoint Language Group, LLC was just an idea on paper—paired with a calling, a conviction, and a lot of unknowns.

Today, it stands as a growing language services business serving clients across legal, medical, and community settings—bridging communication gaps for Thai and Lao-speaking communities with professionalism, accuracy, and care.

And by God’s grace, we made it through year one.

What This Year Represented

This first year wasn’t just about launching a business.

It was about building something that could last.

Not just taking assignments, but establishing standards.

Not just saying yes, but learning when to say no.

Not just working more, but working with purpose.

There were moments of momentum, and moments of stretching.

Moments of clarity, and moments of “Lord, what are we doing?”

But through it all, one thing remained constant: God’s faithfulness.

A Different Kind of Language Practice

Crosspoint Language Group was never designed to be a traditional language service provider—and that’s intentional.

I’m not building a large agency model, and I’m not positioned as a middleman or gatekeeper between clients and interpreters.

Instead, CLG is built as a specialized, direct-service practice focused on Thai and Lao language access, where quality, trust, and professional standards are never diluted.

When additional support is needed, I refer colleagues within my network, not as a transaction, but from a place of integrity and respect.

The goal is simple:

To serve well.

To connect people to the right resources.

And to operate in a way that reflects the principle, “love your neighbor as yourself.”

Milestones Worth Celebrating

This year, Crosspoint Language Group:

  • Became an officially established LLC and operational business.

  • Expanded services across legal, medical, and remote interpreting (VRI/OPI).

  • Built relationships with law firms, court reporting agencies, healthcare providers, and language service companies.

  • Gained recognition and placement on multiple state court interpreter rosters, including Arizona, Colorado and Nevada.

  • Listed as a language-skilled interpreter in the federal court system (Northern District of Texas).

  • Strengthened professional credentials in both medical and court interpreting.

  • Developed systems for contracts, invoicing, scheduling, and client onboarding.

  • Engaged in specialized theological localization projects, aligning language work with ministry, leadership development, and cross-cultural communication.

  • Began shaping a long-term vision that includes training, consulting, and AI language access work.

Most importantly, we served real people, in real moments that mattered.

And that’s the heart of it.
